3 вспоминаем перед Богом, Отцом нашим, о том, как вера ваша являла себя в делах, любовь — в неутомимых трудах, а надежда на Господа нашего Иисуса Христа — в вашей стойкости. |

5 потому уверены в том, что Благая Весть, которую мы возвестили вам, это для вас не одни только слова, но и сила, и действие Духа Святого, и наша, явная для вас, глубокая убежденность. Вы сами знаете, как поступали мы ради вас, когда были с вами. |
|
6 И вы последовали нашему примеру и примеру Господа: несмотря на большие гонения, вы приняли Весть о Нем с радостью, дарованной вам Духом Святым, — |
|
7 так стали вы образцом для всех верующих в Македонии и Ахайе. |
|
8 Благодаря вам слово Господне громко звучит теперь не только по всей Македонии и Ахайе: о вашей вере в Бога знают уже повсюду, так что нам и не надо ничего говорить об этом. |
|
9 Везде рассказывают нам о том, как вы принимали нас, как, отвернувшись от идолов, стали вы служить живому, истинному Богу |
|
10 и ждать с небес Сына Его, Которого Он воскресил из мертвых, — Иисуса, спасающего нас от грядущего возмездия. |

1 PAUL, and Sil-va'nus, and Ti-mo'theus, unto the church of the Thes-salo'ni- ans which is in God the Father and in our LORD Jesus Christ: Grace be unto you and peace, from God our Father, and the LORD Jesus Christ. |

2 We give thanks to God always for you all, remembering you continually in our prayers; |
|
3 Mentioning before God the Father the works of your faith and the labor of your love, and the patience of your hope in our LORD Jesus Christ. |
|
4 For we know that you are the elected ones, my brethren, and beloved of God. |
|
5 For our preaching to you was not in words only, but also in power, and with the Holy Spirit, and with sincere assurance; and you know also how we lived among you for your sakes. |
|
6 And you became followers of us, and of our LORD, for you welcomed the word with much tribulation and with joy of the Holy Spirit: |
|
7 Thus you have become examples to all the believers in Mac-e-do'ni-a and A-cha'ia. |
|
8 Not only have you sounded out the word of our LORD in Mac-e-do'ni-a and A-cha'ia but also, in every place your faith in God has been heard so that we need not speak anything about you. |
|
9 For these people themselves relate how we entered first among you, and how you turned to God from idols, to serve the living and true God; |
|
10 To wait for his Son from heaven, even Jesus, whom he raised from the dead, for it is he who will deliver us from the wrath to come. |

5 потому уверены в том, что Благая Весть, которую мы возвестили вам, это для вас не одни только слова, но и сила, и действие Духа Святого, и наша, явная для вас, глубокая убежденность. Вы сами знаете, как поступали мы ради вас, когда были с вами. |
5 For our preaching to you was not in words only, but also in power, and with the Holy Spirit, and with sincere assurance; and you know also how we lived among you for your sakes. |

6 И вы последовали нашему примеру и примеру Господа: несмотря на большие гонения, вы приняли Весть о Нем с радостью, дарованной вам Духом Святым, — |
6 And you became followers of us, and of our LORD, for you welcomed the word with much tribulation and with joy of the Holy Spirit: |

8 Not only have you sounded out the word of our LORD in Mac-e-do'ni-a and A-cha'ia but also, in every place your faith in God has been heard so that we need not speak anything about you. |

9 For these people themselves relate how we entered first among you, and how you turned to God from idols, to serve the living and true God; |

10 To wait for his Son from heaven, even Jesus, whom he raised from the dead, for it is he who will deliver us from the wrath to come. |
